FAQ
Join this class and learn Reiki- a hand-on healing modality- for yourself and, or your loves!

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a hands-on healing modality. The National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) shares “Reiki is a complementary health practice in which practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above the person, with the goal of facilitating the person’s own healing response.”

"I cannot express how wonder the Reiki class was! I feel Reiki has been the catalyst behind so much of my inner growth and healing."

After taking the class and being attuned, how do I give a healing Reiki session?
The Reiki practitioner should never diagnose, interfere with a treatment plan from a licensed medical professional, nor touch in a manner that makes one feel uncomfortable—including placement of hands around the neck/chin area.
In class I will encourage you to always have your client complete a brief questionnaire acknowledging what Reiki is and is not.
Then have your client sit in a comfortable chair, or lay completely clothed (I encourage loose clothing for maximum comfort) on a padded Reiki table. You can choose to cover your client with a sheet or blanket as often our body cools as we relax. Start with a silent prayer, being thankful for the healing and blessings your client is about to receive and stating your desire for Reiki to flow and your ego to step aside.
Explain that you'll be asking your client to take a couple a deep breathes, and with their permission place your clean hands over their eyes, ears, on the top of the head, back of your head, shoulders (not too close to front of neck), arms, upper abdomen, mid-abdomen, hips, knees, and feet. Additionally, there is a final, silent prayer of blessing.
